Scope and Contents
This collection contains correspondence, by-laws, minutes, reports, newsletters, magazines, invitations, brochures, flyers, booklets, directories, scholarship materials, and a survey. These materials illustrate the activities of the Harper College Educational Foundation and its board of directors. Topics addressed include finances, donors, development matters, foundation goals, scholarships, fundraising events, and other operations.

Biographical / Historical
The William Rainey Harper College Educational Foundation was established in 1973 to secure financial support for selected educational and cultural activities that cannot be funded by the operating budget of the College. Since its inception, the Foundation’s mission has been to support the educational service of William Rainey Harper College and, to this end, to receive, invest and steward contributions for the financial support and benefit of the College in accordance with the Foundation’s policy and donor specifications. As a not-for-profit organization, the Foundation has practices and procedures to continually improve its operations.
